The Friday Boost Some food for thought this week! (26/3)
1. One step closer to dancing!
Here’s a man talking about his return to dancing, not bad for 89! Any forward moves towards bringing communities back together in real life is definitely good news, and it’s coming.
2. Grassroots Sport returns in the UK
Most of you will be aware, but from Mon 29th March outdoor sports reopen, meaning that I can lose my voice screaming for the football again before commiserating with my teammates at full time 😅. Rowers back to water, tennis courts reopen. It’s a great time to get on to a course, I’d highly recommend some cardio tennis (a class which is tennis based but more on fitness and fun - I’m doing my course to teach it Tuesday) and also some mixed tag rugby, such a great game for fitness and very social. Also how about reconnecting to some Nature with some lake swimming? I’m really thinking about this personally to kick off the occasional lethargy of being indoors!
3. An app to fight food waste - by selling us some bargains!
‘Too Good To Go’is one of my favourite apps, due to it being an absolute win for everyone. The premise is this, any food that is leftover, a shop or restaurant can list on the app, generally for about 1/3 to 1/4 of the price. People can purchase it on Too Good To Go and collect it during a time window, generally to be met by really friendly staff who are happy not to throw it away. It’s already saved so many meals from being thrown into the bin, and is also fantastic for people who could do with some financial help, making incredible food very cheap. Everyone wins, and it’s definitely something to get behind.
Ps first night in Oslo we bought 1 pizza for £35 (and it was awful), breakfast cost us £18 each the next morning. We quickly loaded up the app and were suddenly eating fresh burritos, vegan curries, pain au chocolat, you name it. For about £3 a meal 😁 made even better by saving it from the bin too!

Have a great weekend,

Ps Coffee in Oslo, definitely to be done again. They had a pop up stand where you could sit, drink free coffee and try high end headphones, an incredible combo!
